The Geographical analysis of the phenomenon of the spread of fruit injury Palm trees With insects of Al- Hamira in Basrah Governorate

Abstract

The study showed that date palm trees were exposed to donkey insect infection in all palm growth areas in the governorate but to varying degrees. To make sure of Basra, Samples were taken from date palm trees in some orchards in the districts and suburbs of the governorate to detect the presence of infection, and then Statistical operations were conducted that showed The infection rates and the degree of their correlation with the climatic factors that led to this, as the rate of infection in the city’s district during the period from 15 May to 15 June for the agricultural season (2018-2019), and these high rates were associated with the appropriate temperatures and humidity for the insect activity, While the lowest rate of infection was recorded during the period June 15 to July 15, due to the high temperatures that limit the insect activity.
