Abstract

The study deals with an important topic that contributes to the stability of the population, which is the analysis of the reasons and justifications for the regional and temporal variation in land prices in the city of Basra and the search for the factors causing this discrepancy from multiple aspects and according to the impact of each of them using official and unofficial data are taken from the lived reality to shed light on the suffering of the population, especially the limited classes Income in society, which has been suffering from this phenomenon in recent years, and the research has drawn results confirming the overlap of several factors, including government related to weak legal oversight, the disparity of services between regions and the lack of balanced development between them, as well as speculation about land and the class disparity that began to appear clearly in the society.
