Memory and identity formation In Fatima Al-Mohsen's book " Alrihlat Alnaaqisa = The Incomplete Journey"

Abstract

Fatima Al-Mohsen writes a cultural and intellectual biography based on her memory and through her self-perspective, so this study tried to approach the meaning of memory in it and the forms of its formation, especially since memory research is now receiving great attention in critical and cultural studies because of its real importance in re-making and understanding identity.

The study was divided into three sections, which dealt with the role of memory in the creation of human identity, that is, how the writer looked at her individual and private experiences when she returned to them through a linguistic discourse.
