Abstract

Geographical works are considered among the important sources in the study of countries، so the book Al-Rawd Al-Maattar in the news of the countries of Al-Hamiri، which is arranged according to the letters of the dictionary to make it easier for the researcher to access information in an easy and fast way، is one of the important books for studying the conditions of the city of Basra، as Basra had a share of this book. He gave a vision of Basra، where he emphasized the prosperity of the agricultural situation in it، as the many orchards connected as if they were one orchard and contained by a wall.
