Abstract

Paradox is considered one of the most important techniques in contemporary poetry, as it presents a contradiction between the apparent and hidden meanings, requiring mental effort to understand it. The poetic text of Siraj Muhammad is rich with paradoxes that evoke surprise. The title of one of his poetry collections relies on paradox, and many of his daily poems are built on verbal paradoxes that provoke sharp sarcasm in the poem. The poet successfully exploited this technique, making it a means to provoke the recipient and convey his philosophy in a beautiful poetic form that carries suggestive connotations, making the language of the daily poem rich in intentions.
