Corrections in Source Structures by the Commentators of Al-Shafi'i in the Eighth Hijri Century

Abstract

This research discusses the corrections made by the commentators of Al-Shafi'i on the structures of sources, in terms of structures that were not mentioned by the author, or those he alluded to without elaborating on them. The commentators addressed this issue and also in the author's unrestricted statements that may require clarification. They also addressed the differences in jurisprudential schools, as some commentators made corrections that deviated from the author's school of thought, deeming them to be correct. Furthermore, they corrected words that the author omitted. This occurred in the sources of the triad, the augmented triad, the Meem source, the sources of the quadruple, and matters of disagreement, such as repetition and circulation.
