The Social Aspect among Arabs before Islam through the Islamic Encyclopedia

Abstract

The Orientalist Islamic Encyclopedia is one of the most essential sources for studying history, including the history of Arabs before Islam. It has explored various aspects of that period, especially the social aspects. Orientalists have focused on discovering the facts, but at times, they aimed to distinguish that era from Islamic periods, considering it as the foundation. When Islam arrived in the Arabian Peninsula, it attempted to reshape Arab social identity according to the dictates of Islamic law, as claimed by them.
