((Measuring future anxiety among middle school students In the schools of Basra Governorate))

Abstract

The study aims to measure future anxiety among middle school students in the schools of the Basra governorate center. The construction (the discriminatory power of the paragraphs and calculating the correlation of the paragraph’s degree with the total score of the scale and calculating the correlation of the paragraph’s degree with the domain to which it belongs and the correlation of the domains with each other), also the stability was calculated by the re-test method, and the stability coefficient was (0,82)and by the Cronbach’s alpha equation, the reliability coefficient was (0,86), and after finding the psychometric properties of the scale, it was applied to a sample of (200)male and female students, and after processing the data statistically,the results of the study indicated that the research sample had a high level of anxiety and that there were statistically significant differences according to the gender variable (males and females) and in favor of females.
