Pragmatic Dimensions in Sharḥ al-Raḍī ʿalā al-Kāfiya by Raḍī al-Dīn al-Astarābādhī (d. 684 AH)

Abstract

This research is an analytical and interpretive study centered on the pragmatic analysis of selected grammatical applications in Sharḥ al-Raḍī ʿalā al-Kāfiya by Raḍī al-Dīn al-Astarābādhī (d. 684 AH). It investigates contextual pragmatic values in order to elucidate their role in analyzing these grammatical applications and to determine the extent to which they influence the identification of grammatical functions within sentence structures, the specification of sentence constituents, and the interpretation of the semantic structure of speech situations. The study also seeks to uncover the intentional dimensions underlying interpretation and semantic substitution within certain grammatical classifications.
