Abstract

The Abbasid era witnessed a remarkable flourishing of intellectual, literary, and scientific debates. These debates emerged as a faithful mirror reflecting the deep ideological conflicts among sects, schools of thought, and cultural and social currents of that period. They were not merely intellectual or literary exercises; rather, they constituted a living representation of the struggle over identities and affiliations, as well as an expression of political, sectarian, class-based, and nationalist positions.
