The Semantic Functions of Particles in Al-Siraj al-Munir fi Bayan Nikat al-Tafsir by Sheikh Habib al-Kadhimi

Abstract

This study is divided into several sections, beginning with a theoretical introduction in which the researcher defines the concept of particles of meaning (huruf al-ma‘ani) as understood by linguists and rhetoricians. The research then explores the semantic functions and rhetorical purposes of these particles, followed by a detailed analysis of their types and meanings.

The study primarily focuses on the semantic interpretations of particles as presented  by Sheikh  Habib  al-Kadhimi in Al-Siraj  al-Munir fi Bayan  Nikat  al-Tafsir. Each particle’s meaning is examined within its contextual and exegetical framework, based on the interpretative insights provided in the text.

The research begins with an introduction that highlights the significance of the topic and the reasons for its selection. It concludes with a summary of key findings, followed by a bibliography listing the sources consulted.
