Abstract

This research examines the element of time in the narrative works of the author Wahid Ghanem, which encompass three novels in chronological order: "The Ancient Ceremonies," "The Sweet Fugitive of His Destiny," and "The Princess on the Journey of the Mind."

 

The aim of this study is to uncover the significant temporal techniques employed by the author in each novel and their impact on the text's structure. The study includes an introduction, a definition of time in language and terminology, its importance in narrative text, and types of time: natural time, psychological time, and temporal systems in terms of past, present, and future, as well as speed and slowness
