The Pragmatic Signifiers in Fadwa Tuqan's Poetry

Abstract

Poetry, in general, is characterized by an attractiveness that attracts learners and occupies their minds due to its high flexibility, which has prompted researchers to make it a wide field to apply the theories that appear in the linguistic arena. Here, in our study, we seek to apply one of the modern linguistic theories, namely the referential theory, to the collection of poems by Fadwa Tuqan, considering it a fertile ground that has not been previously studied within scientific limits, especially from a trading perspective, specifically the topic of trading signifiers.
